Overview
The star screening machine is very efficient at separating all bulk materials up to around 600 kg/m3 and particle sizes up to roughly 50 mm -- overlengths up to roughly 1,000 mm -- and is particularly suited for screening overlengths in sawmills.
It is constructed from sheet steel and has several in-line horizontal shafts, on which intermeshing screening stars are mounted. The bulk material is transported horizontally by the rotary motion of the shafts and the fines fall through the gap between the shafts and screening stars.
Throughput:
Approximately 65 m3/h per 1 mz of screening area, depending on the particle size and mixing ratio of the input material.
